Canadian Actors Knowledge vs Networking

What is the status of your acting career? Are you a skilled professional actor or is it your part time hobby?

Do you know what’s currently happening in the entertainment business?

Do you know who is casting what productions and where those productions are being filmed?

Do you know which Casting Directors your Agent works with?

The best way to bring your career to life is to first be clear and realistic about your goals and abilities. Know who you are as an actor. Know what kind of roles you can play and what actors you would work well with. Know your strengths and weaknesses and remedy them accordingly.

Actors like to “network”, but by networking are you REALLY networking or are you being a socialite, because professional actors are too busy working to be socializing.

Most of all – go the extra mile, seek industry knowledge, go above and beyond what your competition is doing and listen; listen to your acting coaches and advisors they really are on your side.

And continue to be your amazing self, because the person you are is one thousand times more engaging that the person you try to be!
