Canadian Acting News has jumped on the Twitter wagon!
If you are not familiar with twitter don’t worry I am just figuring it out myself…and this is what I have discovered so far -
Twitter is a networking and micro-blogging service allowing you to send and read other twitters’ updates and tweets, that are text-based posts (up to 140 characters).
Also known as the ‘SMS of Internet’, updates are displayed on your profile page and delivered to other who have signed on to follow you!
It’s a great marketing and promotional tool for actors, artists, businesses big and small and anyone looking to promote themselves and get connected – with the one simple question: What are you doing?
You can send and receive updates via the Twitter website, SMS, RSS (receive only), or through applications such as Tweetie, Twitterrific, Twitterfon and Feedalizr.
It’s free to use on the web, but using SMS may incur phone charges, so check with your service provider first.
With an approximation of 4-5million users I would advise you to get twitting today and once you have, follow us on Twitter and we can follow you, working together in the world of Twitter to promote each other, staying updated and connected!
